No. This service is available for your convenience. If you pay online this month, you can send a check next month. There are never any automatic payments, so you remain in control. You decide the amount and date we are to deduct the payment from your account.
We use up-to-date encryption technology to ensure your account information is not available to outside sources. Also, we never provide unauthorized third parties with information regarding how, when, or how much you pay.
You can use either a checking or savings account. At this time, we do not accept debit or credit cards.
The bank account number you entered will be validated prior to your payment being processed for the first use of an account number or changes to the account number. If you enter your payment information prior to 12:00 PM (ET) on your selected payment date, you can normally view it online the following business day.
We normally deduct your payment within 2 days after your selected payment date.
Normally we withdraw your payment within 2 business days after your selected payment date. To be sure, contact your financial institution or check your financial institution account statement.
The cutoff for any payment date is midnight (ET).

Yes. You can schedule a payment up to 180 days in advance.
Online payments are typically applied to your student loan account and debited from your bank account within 2 business days of your selected payment date
No. Making a payment online will not cause your payment to be automatically withdrawn from your bank account each month.
